Honours Project: “Do larval fish avoid parasites in pelagic environments?”
The project will aim to examine the parasite load on larval fish that are just about to settle on the reef. It will look at whether or not the duration of the pelagic period will have an impact on the parasite load. In addition, the project will also explore the diversity of larval fish and whether this also has an impact on the number and diversity of parasites.
Supervisors: Dr Alexandra Grutter, Associate Professor Thomas Cribb and Dr Derek Sun
